Gregorio Avanzini - Life Architect, Founder of the Pristine Movement and Breath of One
Gregorio is an architect, life coach, meditation facilitator, community development consultant and an avid volunteer as well as an enthusiastic hugger. As a Fulbright Scholar, he received a Master of Architecture degree from the University of Michigan, where he also assisted in teaching courses to both graduate and undergraduate students. There he formalized his thesis, 'The Pristine Movement', which focuses on designing regenerative communities to help our society in finding balance and harmony with itself and with the entire ecosystem of our planet. He is currently designing the first two pristine communities in Costa Rica. He has lived, traveled and volunteered in 60 countries, where he has brought his version of Merkaba Activation, the ‘Breath of One’ to over 1500 people, in 10 countries in 17 months.
Colin OKeefe here. I’ve spent the last 4 years working with organizations that exist around the globe with the intention of creating a better world. From AIESEC (a student run organization operating in 110+ countries) to the United Nations to the government of Dubai, I’ve seen the same thing again and again - intention alone will get you nowhere. It must be followed by action, willfulness, and dedication.
Our generation is experiencing a revolution on an interconnected scale unlike any humanity has seen before. Everywhere you look age-old constants of nationality, government-backed institutions, and stability are crumbling by the second - and the paradigm shift is picking up momentum.
I believe in the change Pristine Movement will create. The current status quo of consumerism for consumerism’s sake, of debt-driven amassment of items of little benefit and even less value, and of the concept of doing what we can because we must is untenable and unbearable.
To quote Thoreau, ‘I went to the woods to live deliberately.” Only my deliberate living won’t be in the woods. It will be in society - a society we create. A society we maintain. A society that embraces and demands the involvement and participation of those who value what is and always will be truly important: simplification, sustainability, and overall, love.
The combination between my education and my life experience brought me where I am right now. The international lifestyle that I’ve experience through living and working in Sydney, Tokyo, San Paulo, Paris, Boston, Bologna, Milan and now London has helped me to experience the world from different points of view. I have graduated at MIT in 2014 with a Master in Management. I have collaborated with Professor Vandana Shiva, towards her participation in Expo 2015 in Milan; this experience has inspired me to focus on the synthesis between international markets and locally-sourced, sustainable development on a global scale. The Pristine Movement is an exciting new challenger in the sustainability landscape.

I am an engineer: by degree, BS in materials science and engineering, University of Michigan; by trade, reactive ion etch consultant at the Lurie Nanofabrication Facility; and most important by nature. Understanding the function and strengths and weaknesses of materials, tools, people, systems, and putting these together in such a way as to manifest the most elegant solution to a problem is the work that I thrive upon.
Sustainable community has been my passion for the past 15 years. I have spent this time studying the elements involved. I have been heavily involved in the development and growth of two communities to date. I spent 7 years helping in the design, growth, and maturation of Touchstone Cohousing. I have now spent the past 5 years creating Mulberry Hill agrarian cooperative. My ultimate objective is to be involved in creating an Utopian village that acts as an inspiring model for others in transforming our civilization.
The elegant solution is that which is beautiful in its simplicity. The elegant solution derives from the highest understanding of both question and answer and understanding that one does not proceed from the other, but that they are both part of a perfect whole. A recent spiritual awakening in me has taught me my path and the most elegant solution of all. Love is the question, love is that answer, love is the path. If we strip life of its complexity and refine things to only those that serve and sustain ourselves, each other, and the world around us, and we love ourselves, and each other and understand that we are an inseparable part of this vast and glorious universe; then we do it all for love. Love is an energy that feeds and nurtures us, allows us to grow and thrive and share more love. In harmony, the system resonates, amplifies, bursts through barriers and transforms: Metta Morphosis - transformation through loving kindness.
My life's work has centered around loving others and assisting them to see their greatness. I have a BA in psychology from Indiana University and an MA in Educational Psychology from Humboldt State University. After working in the public schools I became disillusioned with the current educational system and its narrow focus on academics at the expense of individuality and creativity. Thus I returned to school where I studied the teachings of Rudolf Steiner and Waldorf education, receiving my Waldorf teaching credential. I have been involved in many progressive educational endeavors including opening a waldorf-based homeschool cooperative in Hawaii and a nature-based preschool in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I currently work as an independent school psychologist as well as in private practice with children and adults to assist in paving the way for the healing of ourselves and our culture. I believe community living will be an integral piece towards this healing as it is only through cooperation and love of the whole that we can live in peace with each other and the planet. Our current mode of individualistic living is no longer supporting our growth. It is time for new forms, new paradigms. I am excited and honored to be part of the Pristine Movement as we work towards building a more sustainable, healthy, and thriving way of living.
Jennifer (Jenn) Angell
As a recent graduate of the University of Michigan, I have chosen to defer my acceptance to U-M's Medical School until 2015 so that I may backpack through Southeast Asia and beyond. My involvement with the Pristine Movement has reaffirmed and solidified my desire to engage with the world and its people in a meaningful way. As a physician, interacting with people in intimate ways while s/he may feel quite vulnerable, my efforts at connectedness through exuding kindness and compassion with the vehicles of knowledge and innovation will hopefully lead to a better healthcare experience for many. I look around the subway and I am curious about each person's life and passions... what could/does he create or imagine in this life? Medicine provides an avenue for me to connect with diverse persons. I seek to heal and connect so they may continue to create and viscerally enjoy his/her happiness in whichever way that may be.
Martin Elliott (Martino Martinez)
Name's Martin Elliott (me) and I just graduated from The University of Michigan with a B.S. In Architecture. My adventure will take place in Cambridge, Mass as I will be pursuing a Masters of Architecture at MIT. I believe in changing the world through persuasion of others using documentation of experiences. I explore photography and videography as mediums to send a messages that will spread across the globe. Our experiences are unique to us, but can be extended as stories to educate, enlighten and engage the greater public.
"I am Jesse Fox. Creating beauty and helping others enjoy their lives more is all I care to do with destiny. From the time I was born, I have had a passion for knowledge. I have dedicated my entire life to learning about human existence by following my passions and the examples of those who have inspired me. Along my journey, I have been inspired by many things and people. Three main sources of inspiration have shaped my life: Bruce Lee, Ludwig van Beethoven, and Leonardo Da’ Vinci. Bruce Lee taught me about discipline, will power, and training the mind, body and spirit through daily dedicated practice. Beethoven was bold, passionate, and a visionary genius who changed the world of music. Da’ Vinci seemed to have no end to his abilities and genius. He showed me that a human being has a seemingly infinite potential to create and to influence the world. With these and many more inspirations as my guide, I am tuning the timbre of my existence to become a living example of human potential that shatters the illusions of limitations."

Luca Giove (Chubecca)
Born in Bologna, educated at the University of Bologna with a dual degree in International Relations and Geography, my work focus has been transnational cooperation focused on cultural assets and territorial development. I’ve promoted investment and technological partnership programs with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization. My current research revolves around organic farming research initiatives and environmentally-sustainable development. The dynamic nature of global business and its reliance upon the environment is no longer a debated hypothesis but instead increasingly becoming a cross-industry fact. A bottoms-up approach centered upon environmental consideration is vital for a company’s profitability, competitiveness, and, ultimately, its survival. The Pristine Movement is at the frontline of the partnership between organizational growth and environmentally focused development.
My name is Madeline Cecilia and I am. I am a scientist, designer, grant writer, program developer, artist, and forever student of nature. I am on this planet to simply be. Be happy. Be in the moment. I currently hold an associates degree in television broadcasting and film production from Specs Howard School of Media Arts. The currents moved me to eventually create my own bachelor's degree at the University of Michigan in art, permaculture, and social science research. I developed and started the U of M Permaculture Program and taught an honors freshman seminar in the principles and practices of permaculture science and design. Since graduating, I earned my Permaculture Design Certification and compled co-tourism research for the Costa Rican government. I recently took a solo backpacking journey through Ireland working on farms and in hostels and taught at an eclectic private k-8 school. Living in community has been an integral part of my adult life. I hope to continue working on developing homestead and off grid living skills while pursuing research in the anthropological makeup of realistic and innovative models for societal living. Sláinte! "Art is one of the most potent synergists of consciousness. Few other human endeavors so intimately touch, shape, and speak to the human spirit. Sarah Hall is a vocalist, composer, performance artist, and spiritual teacher. It is her belief that all beings are capable of miracles; of accessing the divine and creating just as it creates—through the power of consciousness. Sarah seeks to create experiences that invite all to discover, heal, expand and empower themselves at a soul level. She believes that beauty is the universal recognition of the divine—our timeless reminder of that from which we came. Sarah’s vocation is thus to channel divine beauty through art and spiritual healing; to create a bridge to the divine by way of beauty that transcends ordinary consciousness and gives us wings to discover God within each of us."
My passion is to alleviate human suffering on individual and community levels. I want to bridge the gap of human separateness and help people to live as one. The distance between us weakens love, growth, and innovative potentials. I believe in humanity, I know that we can do better! My name is Selena; I am a native New Yorker currently residing in Brooklyn. I work as a patient coordinator at the Institute of Reconstructive Plastic Surgery, which is operated and ran through NYU Langone Medical Center. I coordinate daily care and surgical treatment for children and adults with facial deformities. I am also a graduate student at NYU’s Silver School of Social Work. I want to put my ideals in to practice and collaborate with others who share the desire of improving the lives of others and raising the consciousness of our world. We are all beautiful beings who deserve to live to our greatest potentials.
I was born in 1990 in Detroit and grew up in Ann Arbor, MI. I recently graduated from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Through my upbringing in a diversified town and my education, I have come to believe the world is in need of a drastic change. I believe the efforts put forth through the Pristine Movement will spawn the beginning of what we hope to be the future.

While participating in finding this slice of Utopia for short periods of time, a load cry for planting these seeds in our every day communities have grown. Mother Firefly enjoys loving, and supporting each and everyone's own beautiful, personal journey the universe has to offer them.
I have always viewed the world differently than most. Money, jobs, status, has always confused me. The idea that you have to take from someone else in order to get yourself ahead is absurd. My entire life I have tried to express the importance of working with one another instead of competing against. A Michigan State student studying Humanities and Horticulture, I am focused on serving the good of humanity the best I can. I have worked as a lifeguard, on two organic farms, and currently at better health market. I am using my experiences to really understand how the world works in order to find the best way to implement positive change. I am fascinated by all things spiritual, healthy living, lucid dreaming, and of course community living. I welcome open arms the new people and experiences to come into my life, and especially the positive change I will leave to Mother Earth and her inhabitants.
